AVOID AT ALL COST!!!
1. I called to make an appointment to get this Boston Terrier female puppy that was already 3 months old. I was told on the phone by one of the employees that since she had been there so long. I would receive a discounted price if I bought her. So me and my fiancé drove up to Knoxville from Nashville. I immediately fell in love with her, she was just so playful and looking for her forever home. After doing the credit application to adopt her I was denied. ( like majority of the people there that particular day). So I asked how this process would work since I already made my mind up, she’s leaving with me. Moving on the sales person Johnathan must’ve been in training. He knew absolutely NOTHING of the adoption process. She was originally 4,000 dollars before the paperwork/ health kit they provide for another 500. So basically 4500. I declined the health kit since I don’t live in Knoxville to use their vet. I asked about the 100 off since I made a appointment. She didn’t qualify since she was a discounted puppy. Ok, not keeping their word. So I told Johnathan to start the checkout process while my fiancé was playing with her. After doc fees etc the price jumped back up to 4,500. The food they provide with the puppies isn’t puppy food, they give you adult food and rush you out the door. I will never shop with Petland again. This was all a scam to get more bodies in the store walking in poop. Go to your local animal shelter, save a pup on the verge of being put down!! Although the breeders went above and beyond to ensure my baby was healthy. She was current on vaccinations/ deworming (which my vet was amazed at how much they cared for her). If you don’t mind being lied to then avoid here all together.Donell Jones

Went in looking for a pet supplies and my husband wanted a ferret as a playmate for ours. First off, it’s nothing but young girls that work in the store and all they do is hang out and socialize with each other. We tried asking multiple questions and always got the answer “I don’t know“. So as I’m picking out supplies, my husband goes and pays for a ferret… $500!! They are 200 at all the other stores but he had no idea. He was told that if it did not work out with our ferret that we have at home, we had 10 days to bring it back to the store. Well, unfortunately it did not work out and I was faced with the hard decision to take him back to the store. And then we were told that there are no returns. Never mind the fact, he came to me flea ridden and because of that had tape worms.
